IT Manager


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's technology operations and ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Your main duties will include managing a team of IT professionals, implementing new technology initiatives, and providing technical support to employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the company's technology operations
- Manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement new technology initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity
- Ensure that all systems are secure, reliable, and up-to-date
- Provide technical support to employees regarding hardware, software, and network issues
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any problems that arise
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets
- Develop budget proposals for new technology implementations or upgrades
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in information technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an IT management role
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking protocols, and security protocols
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and experience developing budget proposals
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Experience working in a multinational company or managing remote teams
- Fluency in Portuguese (spoken/written) is a plus
