Network and Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization environments. Your main duties will include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the security of our network.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain hardware and software components for network and server systems
- Monitor system performance to ensure smooth operation
- Troubleshoot issues with servers, networks, and other IT equipment
- Maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email systems, and antivirus software
- Ensure the security of our network by implementing appropriate security measures
- Stay updated on new technologies and make recommendations for upgrades or enhancements to our systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN networks, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2008/2012/2016)
- Familiarity with backup solutions like Veeam or Backup Exec
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month for this full-time position.

Location:
This is an on-site position located in Braga. Candidates must have their own accommodation in the city.

Visa Requirements:
Candidates must have their own valid visa to work in Portugal.
