Database Administrator Trainee (Contract) - Braga, Portugal

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Database Administrator Trainee in Braga. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our senior database administrators with maintaining and optimizing our company's databases. This is a contract position, suitable for someone without experience in the field or for students looking to gain hands-on experience in database administration.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with database design and implementation
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate backup and recovery processes
- Create and maintain documentation of database systems, procedures, and policies
- Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or currently enrolled as a student)
- Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL, and database design principles
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)

Salary:
This is a paid trainee position with a salary of 1400$ per month.

Accommodation:
We provide accommodation for our trainees in Braga. However, this is based on availability and preference will be given to candidates who already have accommodation arrangements.

Other Requirements:
Due to the nature of our work, the selected candidate must have a biometric passport. This is required for security clearance purposes.
