Junior Database Administrator


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Braga. As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's databases, ensuring their security, availability, and performance. This is a full-time job with a salary of 1100$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor and maintain database performance
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security and integrity
- Create and maintain database backups
- Develop and implement data recovery plans
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve database functionality
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
- Familiarity with database administration tools (e.g. Oracle Enterprise Manager)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferences:
While experience is not required for this role, candidates with prior experience in database administration will be given preference.
