Typesetter (Braga)

As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for setting and arranging type for various printed materials, such as books, magazines, and newspapers. You will work closely with the publishing team to ensure that all text and images are laid out in an aesthetically pleasing and readable manner. Your attention to detail and knowledge of typography will be crucial in producing high-quality publications.

Responsibilities:
- Set type according to design specifications using specialized software
- Adjust spacing and formatting to create visually appealing layouts
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to meet project deadlines
- Check for errors in spelling, grammar, and formatting
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in typography
- Ensure that all materials meet quality standards before printing or publishing

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Proficient in typography and layout design software (e.g. Adobe InDesign)
- Attention to detail with a keen eye for design aesthetics
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of different printing processes and techniques is a plus

This position does not include accommodation, so candidates must have the ability to commute or relocate to Braga. While this position is open to all qualified individuals, it is suitable for men due to the physical demands of the job (e.g. lifting heavy materials).
