Equipment Operator - Braga, Portugal
A well-established construction company in Braga, Portugal is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join their team. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment on construction sites, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on equipment
- Safely load and unload materials using equipment
- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient use of equipment
- Communicate with team members to coordinate work activities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
- Keep track of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs
- Collaborate with site managers to ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Equipment Operator in a construction setting is required
- Knowledge of operating various types of heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read project plans and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and environments
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical training or certification in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
Working Conditions:
This is a contract position with the possibility for extension. The work schedule may vary based on project needs. Own visa jobs are available for non-EU citizens. Students with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Salary:
Starting salary will be 1300$ per month.
