Executive Chef
We are searching for an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team in Braga, Portugal. As the head of our culinary department, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, overseeing kitchen operations, and managing a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and unique menus that align with our restaurant's concept and customer preferences
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients to ensure quality and freshness
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and consistency
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments to maintain profitability
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent training from a reputable institution preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
- Must be fluent in Portuguese (both verbal and written)
Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this position.
