Sous Chef
A luxury restaurant in Braga is seeking a highly skilled and creative Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee the preparation and presentation of our high-quality dishes. Your main responsibility will be to assist in managing the kitchen operations, including ordering ingredients, supervising staff, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating new menu items and specials
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure they adhere to recipes and portion sizes
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Conduct regular quality control checks on food preparation and presentation
- Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
