Data Mining Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing advanced data mining techniques to identify and extract valuable insights from large datasets. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement data mining strategies, as well as interpret and present findings to key stakeholders. This position requires a highly analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in data mining tools such as SQL, Python, and R. As a Data Mining Specialist, you will play a vital role in driving business decisions and improving overall performance. This is a remote position that offers a competitive salary of $900 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct data mining activities to gather insights from large datasets
- Develop data mining strategies and techniques to support business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and identify opportunities for data mining
- Use statistical analysis and modeling techniques to identify patterns and trends in data
- Clean, organize, and integrate data from various sources for analysis
- Communicate findings through visualizations, reports, and presentations
- Provide recommendations based on data insights to improve processes or drive business growth

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in data mining or related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R or other data mining tools
- Experience with statistical modeling techniques (e.g. regression analysis)
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g. MySQL)
- Excellent analytical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
- Master's degree in Data Science or related field
- Experience working with big data platforms (e.g. Hadoop)
- Background in machine learning or artificial intelligence

Location: This is a remote position based in Porto, Portugal. Candidates with own visa are preferred, but sponsorship can be provided for exceptional candidates. This is an urgent job opening, and we are looking for someone who can start immediately.
