Part-Time Database Administrator (Porto, Portugal)


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Part-Time Database Administrator to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases to ensure their efficiency and security. This is a part-time position, ideal for someone with prior experience in database administration looking for flexible working hours.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise with databases and provide timely solutions
- Develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures
- Optimize databases for maximum efficiency and scalability
- Collaborate with IT team to ensure smooth integration of new applications with existing databases
- Conduct regular performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing
- Create documentation for database processes, procedures, and configurations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in database administration
- Proficiency in SQL and other database languages such as Oracle or MySQL
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security protocols, and disaster recovery procedures
- Experience with database optimization techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this part-time position.

Location:
This position is located in Porto, Portugal. The candidate must be able to work on-site.
