Interpreter/Translator



We are seeking an experienced Interpreter/Translator to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As an Interpreter/Translator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely translation services between English and Portuguese languages. You will play a vital role in facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken words from English to Portuguese and vice versa
- Translate written documents from English to Portuguese and vice versa
- Act as a cultural liaison between parties, ensuring understanding and respect for cultural differences
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Use specialized dictionaries, glossaries, and other resources to ensure accuracy
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate translation services
- Attend meetings, conferences, and other events as needed to provide interpretation services
- Proofread translations for accuracy and grammar

Requirements:
- Fluent in both English and Portuguese languages (native level preferred)
- Proven experience as an interpreter/translator or similar role
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
- Knowledge of cultural differences and ability to navigate them effectively
- Familiarity with translation software/tools is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Salary:
This is a full-time position offering a salary of 1300$ per month.

Location:
This position is located in Porto, Portugal. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Portugal.
