Metal Fabricator/ Welder

We are a well-established metalworking company in Porto, seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator/ Welder to join our team on a contract basis. As a Metal Fabricator/ Welder, you will be responsible for using various tools and techniques to cut, shape, and join metal parts according to blueprints or specifications. This position is suitable for men who have experience in the metalworking industry and possess a biometric passport.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine project requirements
- Use hand and power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, and welding equipment to cut and shape metal pieces
- Operate specialized machinery such as shears, presses, and rollers to form metal into desired shapes
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces using rulers, squares, or templates
- Weld or join metal pieces together using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Make necessary adjustments to machinery or equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working with dangerous tools and equipment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum of 3 years experience in metalworking or fabrication
- Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of different types of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc)
- Ability to operate various hand tools and specialized machinery safely
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Good communication skills in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
- Possession of a valid biometric passport

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
