Metal Fabricator
A metal fabricator is responsible for creating, repairing, and installing metal structures and components. This includes cutting, shaping, and combining various types of metal using specialized tools and equipment. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of different metals and their properties, as well as experience in welding, cutting, and bending techniques. They must also be able to read blueprints and follow technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces using rulers, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Cut or shape metal pieces using manual or automated equipment such as saws, shears, or presses
- Weld or solder pieces together to create a strong bond
- Grind or sand down rough edges or excess material from finished products
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects in a timely manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Proficiency in using hand-held tools such as hammers, drills, grinders etc.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Good physical stamina and strength to work with heavy metal pieces
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate measurements
- Team player with good communication skills
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.
Location:
This job is located in Porto, Portugal.
Working Hours:
This is a full-time job with standard working hours.
