Preservation Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Porto. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while maintaining their original design and character.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans and strategies to ensure the authenticity of the building is maintained
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and construction teams to execute preservation projects
- Monitor progress of restoration projects and provide guidance on any necessary changes
- Conduct site visits to assess the condition of historic buildings and make recommendations for preservation
- Prepare detailed reports on preservation projects, including budgets, timelines, and materials used
- Stay updated on current preservation techniques and technologies to ensure best practices are being implemented
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, construction techniques, and codes related to historic buildings
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp or other relevant software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams
- Must be able to travel for site visits as needed
Salary: 1200$ per month
