We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Porto. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while ensuring they meet safety and accessibility standards. Your role will involve conducting thorough research on the history of the structure, creating preservation plans, and overseeing the implementation of preservation projects.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct historical research on buildings and structures to understand their architectural significance
- Create preservation plans that include detailed assessments of the structure's condition and necessary repairs or restoration work
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure preservation projects meet safety standards and comply with building codes
- Oversee the implementation of preservation projects, including managing budgets, schedules, and resources
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is being done according to plan
- Work closely with local authorities to obtain necessary permits for preservation projects
- Communicate regularly with clients or stakeholders to provide updates on project progress

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of historic architecture styles and techniques for preserving them
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility requirements
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various professionals
- Experience working with local authorities and obtaining necessary permits
- Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
