Senior Accountant


We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Porto. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial management of our company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. You will also provide guidance and support to junior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Monitor budget and forecast variances and provide recommendations for cost control
- Conduct regular audits to identify any discrepancies or errors in financial records
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support decision making
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior accountants

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) and MS Office applications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Biometric passport required for international travel if necessary
