Head Pastry Chef
We are searching for a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing our pastry kitchen, creating delicious and visually appealing pastries, cakes, and desserts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new pastry recipes and update existing ones according to seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Manage all aspects of the pastry kitchen, including budgeting, inventory management, and staff scheduling
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and assistants
- Ensure that all pastries are prepared and presented according to our high standards of quality and consistency
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus for special events or occasions
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Proven track record of creating unique and creative pastry dishes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail with a focus on presentation, flavor, and texture
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month. Compensation may be negotiable depending on experience.
