Pastry Chef
A prestigious restaurant in the charming city of Porto is seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing delectable desserts and pastries that will delight our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to menu specifications
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with high quality and presentation, in a timely manner
- Monitor food supplies and order ingredients as needed
- Train and supervise other pastry kitchen staff members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of various pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
- Creativity in developing unique dessert recipes and presentations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred
