Experienced Pastry Chef
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Porto, Portugal. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods that meet our high standards of taste and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Chef
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of desserts, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and breads
- Decorate and present desserts in an aesthetically pleasing manner
- Monitor supplies and ingredients to ensure consistency and quality
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs or kitchen staff members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section
- Adhere to food safety standards at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various baking techniques and pastry decorating methods
- Creativity and attention to detail for creating visually appealing desserts
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines for orders
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: Competitive salary of $900 per month based on experience.
