IT Manager - Faro, Portugal (Contract)


We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee our company's information technology operations in Faro, Portugal. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our IT infrastructure including hardware, software, network and security systems. You will work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement strategies to enhance our company's overall technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all hardware and software systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and running efficiently.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure data security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Manage the network infrastructure including servers, routers, switches and firewalls.
- Identify areas for improvement in technology processes and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and make recommendations for upgrades or new systems that will benefit the company.
- Manage relationships with external vendors for hardware/software procurement or technical support services.
- Train employees on new technologies or systems as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network administration and security protocols.
- Extensive experience in managing hardware/software procurement processes.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems such as AWS or Azure is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration.

We offer a competitive salary package of 1000$ per month for this contract position.
