Biometric Passport Research Scientist
We are seeking a talented and experienced Biometric Passport Research Scientist to join our team in Faro. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research and developing new technologies related to biometric passport systems. Your main focus will be on improving the security and effectiveness of biometric passports, as well as developing new features and capabilities.
To excel in this role, you must have a strong background in computer science and research methodology. You should also have experience working with biometrics, particularly in the context of passport systems. A deep understanding of security protocols and data encryption is essential for success in this position.
In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to think critically about complex problems. As a Biometric Passport Research Scientist, you will be expected to conduct experiments, analyze data, and present your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on biometric passport systems
- Develop new technologies and features for biometric passports

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Computer Research Scientist or similar role
- Experience with biometrics, particularly in the context of passport systems
- Strong understanding of security protocols and data encryption
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically about complex problems
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java or C++
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
