Back-End Developer - Faro, Portugal


We are a dynamic and innovative tech company looking for a skilled Back-End Developer to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side of our web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You will work closely with our front-end developers to integrate their work with the back-end. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python or Ruby, as well as experience with databases and server-side frameworks. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided. Students are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable and robust server-side code for our web applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
- Ensure security and data protection in all systems
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in back-end development
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
- Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python or Ruby
- Experience working with databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and server-side frameworks (Node.js, Django)
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts
