Junior Game Developer
Location: Faro, Portugal


We are seeking a passionate and innovative Junior Game Developer to join our team in Faro. As a Junior Game Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing game features, mechanics, and systems. You will work closely with the design team to bring their ideas to life and ensure a high-quality player experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience in the game development industry to gain valuable skills and grow within our company. We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month and the possibility of obtaining your own visa for this contract job.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement game features, mechanics, and systems
- Collaborate with the design team to bring their ideas to life
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Test and debug code to ensure functionality
- Optimize game performance for different platforms
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in game development
- Contribute ideas for new games or improvements on existing ones

Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Game Development or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (C++, C#, Java)
- Knowledge of game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Passion for video games and understanding of gameplay mechanics
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)

Nice-to-have:
- Experience with mobile game development or VR/AR technologies
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software (Maya, Blender)
