Junior Information Security Analyst

As a Junior Information Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our company's data and systems. You will work closely with our senior analysts to identify potential vulnerabilities, conduct risk assessments, and implement security measures. This is a full-time position based in Faro, with accommodation provided and visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and vulnerability testing
- Monitor systems for potential security breaches
- Identify and report on security incidents
- Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls and encryption tools
- Stay up to date on industry developments and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address security concerns
- Participate in incident response planning and execution

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices
- Knowledge of common network protocols and operating systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys preferred
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001 or GDPR a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
