Database Administrator for a Leading IT Company in Faro, Portugal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in Faro, Portugal. As the Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring data security and integrity, and providing support to users.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Implement backup and recovery procedures
- Manage database security and access control
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement new database structures
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data backups, updates, and migrations
- Assist in capacity planning and scalability efforts
- Provide technical support to users and assist with data-related inquiries
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server)
- Experience with database performance monitoring tools
- Familiarity with backup and recovery processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Fluent in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.

Location:
This position is located in Faro, Portugal. However, we are open to considering candidates who may require visa sponsorship or remote work options.
