Are you a skilled Database Administrator looking for a new opportunity in Faro? We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their availability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to identify and implement database improvements
- Manage user access control and permissions
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval
- Provide technical support to end-users as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with database design, development, and optimization
- Familiarity with SQL programming language
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Understanding of Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
- Certification in Database Administration is a plus

We offer competitive salary of $1300 per month along with accommodation. This is a full-time position located in the beautiful city of Faro. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Portugal.
