Heavy Equipment Operator
City: Faro, Portugal
We are in need of a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. Your main goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of these machines while following all safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect equipment before and after each use to identify any potential issues or defects
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while operating machinery
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance performed
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the appropriate personnel
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification preferred but not required
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, manuals, blueprints, etc.
- Knowledge of different types of heavy machinery and their functions
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends when necessary
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month. Accommodation will be provided for the successful candidate. Additionally, we offer a free visa and ticket for non-local applicants.
