Preservation Architect
Location: Faro, Portugal (open to all nationalities)
Salary: $1300 per month
A prestigious architectural firm in Faro is seeking a talented and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while maintaining their original character and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history and significance of buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans based on research findings and client needs
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to execute preservation projects
- Ensure that all preservation work is carried out in accordance with local building codes and regulations
- Monitor the progress of preservation projects to ensure they stay within budget and timeline
- Oversee construction crews to ensure that all work is completed accurately and meets preservation standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques
- Experience working with historical preservation organizations is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
