Job Title: Preservation Architect


We are hiring a Preservation Architect to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural history, preservation techniques, and construction methods.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the history and significance of historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans and proposals for the restoration of historic sites
- Supervise the conservation and restoration work of contractors
- Inspect and assess the condition of historic buildings and structures
- Identify potential risks to the preservation of historic sites
- Collaborate with local authorities to ensure compliance with preservation regulations
- Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications for restoration projects
- Utilize traditional building methods and materials in preservation work
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and resources for restoration projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in preservation architecture
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, conservation techniques, and construction methods
- Experience working with local authorities on preservation projects
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficient in CAD software
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills

Salary: $1400 per month + accommodation
