Executive Chef - Faro, Portugal (Contract)


We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and create innovative menus that meet the needs of our diverse clientele
- Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or themed menus
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or taste
- Adhere to budgetary constraints while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and techniques
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected challenges with ease
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field (preferred but not required)
OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary:
$1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Contract Type:
This is a contract position with potential for extension based on performance.
