Sous Chef
We are hiring a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. Your responsibilities will include supervising and training kitchen staff, creating and developing new menu items, and maintaining food safety standards.
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients. You must also have previous experience working as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient performance
- Create, develop, and update menu items according to seasonality and customer feedback
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to quality standards
- Maintain food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies when needed
- Collaborate with the Front of House team to ensure smooth service flow
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
