Instrument Technician


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Faro, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments used in industrial and manufacturing settings. Your main duties will include reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and performing regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of all instruments.

Responsibilities:
- Install new instruments according to technical specifications and safety regulations
- Perform routine maintenance on existing instruments to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using various testing methods
- Repair or replace faulty components as needed
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner to minimize downtime
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify opportunities for process improvement

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
- Knowledge of different types of instruments, such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, etc.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions accurately
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced industrial environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
- Previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred

Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
