Mason - Construction Worker


We are looking for a skilled Mason to join our construction team in Faro, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have experience in bricklaying, tiling, and stone masonry. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing structures such as walls, floors, and chimneys using various materials. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1700$ per month and includes accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and construction procedures
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks or other masonry units
- Cut or trim bricks using hammers, chisels or power tools
- Mix cement, sand, and water to create mortar for laying bricks
- Install firebricks or refractory linings inside industrial furnaces
- Repair or replace damaged bricks or other masonry units in existing structures

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason or similar role in the construction industry
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Knowledge of various masonry techniques and tools
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Masonry from a trade school or apprenticeship program
- Experience working with different types of stone such as granite and marble
