A reputable IT company in Almada is seeking a highly skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure and systems to ensure their smooth operation.

Responsibilities:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Implement security measures to protect the network from cyber threats
- Manage user accounts and access permissions
- Maintain and update system software and hardware
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into the network
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network related issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven experience working as a Network and Systems Administrator
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment
- Familiarity with security protocols such as VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
