Junior Android Developer



As a Junior Android Developer, you will work on developing and maintaining mobile applications for our company in Almada. Your main responsibility will be to assist the senior developers in building and testing new features for our existing apps, as well as developing new apps from scratch. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our apps are user-friendly, efficient, and meet the business requirements. Your role will also involve troubleshooting and fixing bugs, as well as performing code reviews to maintain code quality. We are looking for someone with a strong passion for mobile development and the ability to adapt to new technologies and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior developers to build and test new features for existing apps
- Develop new apps from scratch in accordance with project requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user-friendly and efficient app design
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing code base
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards
- Keep up-to-date on emerging mobile technologies and trends

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Proven experience developing Android applications (1+ years)
- Strong understanding of Java programming language
- Knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with Git version control system
- Knowledge of Kotlin programming language
- Experience using third-party libraries and APIs
- Understanding of Material Design principles

Salary: $1700/month
