Junior Database Administrator

We are in search of a highly motivated Junior Database Administrator to join our growing team in Almada. As a Junior DBA, you will be responsible for assisting in the management, maintenance, and optimization of our company's databases. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Create and maintain database backups and disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate with developers to optimize database design and query performance
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing access controls and regular audits
- Stay updated on industry developments and implement best practices in database management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Knowledge of SQL and database management systems such as MySQL or Oracle
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve database issues
- Familiarity with backup, recovery, and security procedures for databases
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
