Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our company's databases. You will ensure that data remains consistent across the database and is easily accessible to authorized users. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Develop backup and recovery strategies
- Implement security measures to protect data
- Create databases and tables according to business requirements
- Manage user access and permissions
- Optimize database performance by tuning queries and indexes
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data backups, updates, and patches

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Proficient in SQL and database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity principles
- Experience with database design and optimization
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Location: Almada (remote work may be possible)

Salary: $1800 per month (part-time)
