Heavy Equipment Operator


We are in need of a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Almada. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. Your main duties will include performing routine maintenance on equipment, operating machinery to move materials, and following safety procedures at all times.

To excel in this role, you should have experience operating heavy equipment and possess a valid driver's license. Knowledge of different types of construction equipment and their functions is also required. Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move materials and perform tasks according to project specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Follow safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Adhere to project timelines and work closely with the team to complete tasks on schedule
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding any issues or concerns with equipment or tasks
- Record daily activity logs and maintain accurate records of materials moved

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Equipment Operator or similar role
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of different types of heavy machinery and their functions
- Ability to read construction plans is preferred
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions
- Own transportation is preferred
