Preservation Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and preserving historical buildings and structures. You will also work closely with clients to assess their needs and develop plans for the restoration or conservation of these properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed research and analysis of historical buildings and structures
- Develop plans for the preservation, restoration, or conservation of these properties
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and goals for the project
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of preservation projects
- Inspect building materials and recommend appropriate conservation methods
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all preservation projects
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in preservation architecture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture
- Strong understanding of historical building materials and construction techniques
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively
- Attention to detail and strong project management skills
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to historic preservation (preferred)
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Almada, Portugal (free visa and ticket provided)
