Junior Accountant



We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing team in Almada, Portugal. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in our financial operations by assisting with daily accounting tasks and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily accounting tasks such as data entry, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Assist with month-end close procedures and preparation of financial statements
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and reconcile discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve any billing or payment issues
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes in accounting practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills

Salary: 1800$ per month

Location: Almada, Portugal

Contract job: This is a contract position for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Experience required: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role is required.

With accommodation: Accommodation can be provided for the first month upon arrival.

Visa sponsorship: Candidates must have their own valid visa to work in Portugal.
