Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in Almada. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software. You must also have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1200 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Monitor budget variances and provide timely reports to management
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparations
- Communicate effectively with other departments to resolve any financial issues or discrepancies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills in both English and Portuguese (preferred)
