Cashier for Busy Retail Store in Almada, Portugal
We are seeking an experienced and customer-oriented Cashier to join our busy retail store in Almada, Portugal. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for accurately processing transactions and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist with any inquiries or requests
- Accurately ring up sales and process payments using a cash register or POS system
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Ensure all items are properly scanned and priced
- Handle exchanges and refunds according to store policies
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient store operations
- Keep track of inventory and restock items as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any issues or concerns promptly
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, and exchanges
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a cashier or in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using cash registers or POS systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
- Must be punctual, reliable, and have a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
Salary:
This position offers a salary of 1100$ per month.
Location:
This position is located in the bustling city of Almada, Portugal. The ideal candidate should already have their own visa to work in Portugal.
