Cashier - Almada, Portugal
We are currently hiring for the position of Cashier in Almada, Portugal. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient and friendly customer service while processing transactions accurately and efficiently. Your main duties will include operating cash registers, handling payments and refunds, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude
- Process all transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change to customers
- Maintain accurate cash drawer records
- Keep checkout area clean and well-stocked
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products or store policies
- Assist with stocking shelves or organizing merchandise as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong numerical skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in both English and Portuguese (preferred but not required)
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1400 per month.
Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with an average of 40 hours per week.
Accommodation:
This position does not come with accommodation. Applicants must have their own housing arrangements in Almada or be willing to relocate.
