Job Title: Head Pastry Chef



As the Head Pastry Chef at our upscale restaurant in Almada, Portugal, you will be responsible for creating and supervising all aspects of our pastry menu. Your passion for baking and creativity will be key in developing new and exciting desserts that will delight our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production of all pastry items for the restaurant, including cakes, pastries, and breads
- Create new and innovative dessert offerings while ensuring they are in line with our brand and customer preferences
- Train and supervise a team of pastry chefs, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Develop and maintain recipes, adjusting as needed to meet changing demand or availability of ingredients
- Manage inventory levels for all pastry ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure proper stock levels
- Ensure sanitation standards are met at all times in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to create cohesive menu offerings

Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing your past creations
- Creative thinking and ability to stay up-to-date on current food trends
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen setting
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education Requirements:
A degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent certification is preferred but not required. Previous experience as a Pastry Chef may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Compensation:
