Network and Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Svalbard. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting our computer systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and network equipment
- Monitor network performance to ensure smooth operation
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Identify potential security threats and implement appropriate measures
- Provide technical support to end users
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and recommend upgrades as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Network and Systems Administrator
- Proficient in network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with Windows Server operating systems
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CCNA or MCSA
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)

Salary: $1400 per month.

Location: This position is based in Svalbard.
