Data Analyst - Svalbard

As a Data Analyst for our company in Svalbard, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting large sets of data to provide valuable insights and drive informed business decisions. Your main responsibility will be to collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and other systems. You will also be responsible for creating reports, visualizations, and dashboards to present your findings in a clear and concise manner.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems. A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field is required. Previous experience in data analysis or business intelligence is preferred. Proficiency in SQL and Excel is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting data from various sources and performing data cleansing to ensure accuracy
- Analyzing large datasets using statistical methods and creating visualizations to present findings
- Identifying trends, patterns, and correlations in data to provide insights
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop solutions
- Creating reports and dashboards to effectively communicate findings
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices for data analysis

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel for querying databases and performing analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders
