Python Developer in Svalbard


We are currently hiring a skilled Python Developer to join our team in Svalbard. As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software products and applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, as well as experience working with various frameworks and libraries such as Django, Flask, and NumPy.

Responsibilities:
- Designing, coding, and testing software products using Python
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues in existing codebase
- Writing efficient and reusable code following best practices
- Conducting code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Python development

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Python with at least 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Salary:
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$ per month. We also offer visa sponsorship for non-residents.

Location:
The role is based in Svalbard, an archipelago located north of mainland Europe. While accommodation is not provided by the company, we can assist with finding suitable housing options.
