QA Engineer (Contract) - Svalbard



We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team in Svalbard on a contract basis. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through thorough testing and identifying any defects or issues. This is a contract position with a salary of 900$ per month and does not include accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of our software products
- Identify, analyze, and report any defects or issues found during testing
- Work closely with the development team to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential issues
- Perform both manual and automated testing as needed
- Continuously improve testing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience in both manual and automated testing
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- ISTQB Certified Tester certification
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or JMeter

Location:
This position is based in Svalbard, an archipelago located between Norway and the North Pole. While not required, preference will be given to candidates who are already located in Svalbard.

At this time, we are unable to provide accommodation for this position. Therefore, candidates must have their own arrangements for housing while working in Svalbard.
