Quality Assurance Engineer
The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and report bugs, as well as develop and execute test plans. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated testing tools and a solid understanding of software development processes. This role also involves collaborating with developers, designers, and other team members to continuously improve our products. Salary for this position is $1600 per month, with visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates. Women are encouraged to apply. This position is located in Svalbard, a remote island in the Arctic Ocean known for its beautiful landscapes and unique wildlife.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual and automated tests on software products
- Identify, report, and track bugs using designated tools
- Develop test plans based on project requirements
- Work closely with developers to understand product features and functionality
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve testing processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium)
- Strong understanding of software development processes
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, Python)
- ISTQB certification or other relevant QA certifications
