Junior Developer (Entry Level)


Our growing tech company in Svalbard is seeking a motivated and talented Junior Developer to join our team. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone who is passionate about coding and eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

As a Junior Developer, you will work closely with senior developers and project managers to assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of our software products. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with different programming languages and technologies.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and test software applications
- Write efficient code following best practices and coding standards
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality control
- Assist in creating technical documentation for projects
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.)
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Passion for learning new technologies

Bonus Skills:

- Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of database design and SQL
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology
